Moxibustion

What is Moxibustion and how does it work?

Moxibustion is an ancient therapy originating in Traditional Chinese Medicine that uses the heat generated by the combustion of the Artemisia vulgaris plant , commonly known as Artemisia , to stimulate acupuncture points and channels .

Moxibustion is based on the principle that heat penetrates deep into the tissues through acupuncture points, stimulating blood and energy circulation. By applying heat to specific areas of the body, it is intended to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, strengthen the immune system and promote relaxation.
